Following a data breach compromising the personal information of about 95,000 customers, IKEA has contacted Canada’s privacy commissioner.
IKEA Canada stated that its customers’ personal information appeared in the results of a “generic search” in the IKEA customer data based upon searching by a furniture retailer within the 1st and 3rd of March, CP24 stated.
The compromise won’t involve any financial or banking information, according to the company.
Customers’ names, email addresses, contact information, and postal codes may have been compromised, according to an IKEA Canada already sent letters addressing the concerned valuable customers. Customers’ IKEA Family loyalty program numbers may have been affected and seen, according to the report.
