Free Security Tools: Oppos email breach check

Getoppos has officially launched 4 new free security tools on our website. These tools are open source and help make the community safer for everyone. The first tool we are featuring is called the oppos email breach check. This tool allows you to check if any of your personal information has been exposed in a past data breach. When companies suffer a data breach, millions of passwords can be leaked overnight. When you combine this with the number of companies that get hacked and the length of time that people may keep an account open with a company, it’s very easy for your email and password combination to be leaked without your knowledge. In June 2021 a text file was found on a hacker forum that contained 8.4 billion password entries. Many of these people may never know that their password has been leaked on the web. This is where our tool comes into play, you can check for any sign of your password being leaked in a simple three-step process.

1) You enter your email address

2) Our tool searches our database for any sign of a leaked password associated with that email address. We leverage a community favorite tool “Haveibeenpwned” as one of our sources for getting this information.

3) You get a personalized breach report delivered to your email address.

Account information that was exposed can lead to data breaches and account compromises, this tool can help you to check important accounts and ensure that you are aware of any compromised passwords.
